Message from the Pro

As we head into autumn cooler days are just around the corner, and we have a full schedule of tournaments and golf activities planned for the fall. The extreme heat forced us to make a difficult decision early in August to close all eighteen greens and move to temporary greens. Our hope was to prevent any further damage to the putting surfaces during the heat wave so that the greens will have the best chance to recover for the fall golf season. Because of the temporary greens we shifted some of the scheduled events originally scheduled in August, and moved them to October. Such events include the Arnold Gardner, Senior and Women Club Championships. In order to reschedule the Senior and Women Club Championships, the fall Member Member has been cancelled. The month of September has the following tournaments scheduled: Couples Championship September 11th, and the Inside vs. Outside September 25th & 26th. For all the details on these fun events please see below.

On November 1st and 2nd we have scheduled the annual St Ives Charity Pro Am and I encourage all of you to participate in this wonderful event. This year we have shifted back to the popular two day format. The tournament benefits the Lighthouse family Retreat for children with cancer and we hope to beat last year’s donation. This is a great charity and a fantastic event. Try and get a team together and come join us.

I look forward to seeing you on the links!
